                    Grandparents

Who are the ones who take care of you, when your parents are not there?

Sitters? Yeah for sure, some of us do have that. For instance since babyhood, my brother and I, had a sitter, more like an elder sister, as my parents are both at work.

However, who are the ones who spoil you with candies, money or any unexplained random gifts? Who are the ones who fuss about to be the first to buy you your first pyjamas?

Indeed our Grandparents!

They love you more than you can even imagine. An arab saying goes as: “Your child’s child is always sweeter”.

You are their first thought when they are out shopping. All grandparents will bustle over you, so that you never feel that you lack something material or emotional. They will let go of their guards to grant you anything to see your smile.

Grandparents give their grandchildren more love than they gave their own children. Usually, parents, under the pretext of discipline, do not like that grandparents give the kids all that they wish, so that’s what bring them closer and strengthen that bond and give us the reason to love them even more.

You will never feel hungry when you are at your grandparent’s place, as their aim at that age is to overfeed your stomach with the best that they have. Their number one priority is that you lack nothing and always be content. Be it a pillow, a cookie or even an underwear.

Seeing you happy make their hearts flutter with joy. Seeing you sad makes them feel terrible.

How many of us, even my mum at this age still relives those cherished moments, recall those stories, real or made-up, that our grandparents make it a point to relate to us, alter the “in our time” or the “earlier” notes by default added to those  😊

Unfortunately for those of us who have lost our grandparents at an early age, their love and care will be there with us eternally. No doubt, there is a void that is irreplaceable!

Grandkids are the twinkle in the grandparents’ eyes. All their ails disappear just by a single glance at their energetic grandkids. Our sole presence in front of them rejuvenates their youth.

Our aim is to always cherish and display our love and respect.

Chirpy Chirpy Cheeps

Birds, are they immaterial to us? Or do they bring significance to our lives? Birds, an important factor in everyone's life, can make even the grumpiest person on earth twitch a smile. They have a distinctive feature that makes them unique compared to any other species. What female hawks can do to keep their children protected is enormous, a bit what our own mothers would do for us...hmmm The amazingly-colored birds brighten up places. No wonder, the very thought of Amazon forest displays an array of colourful fowls to our imagination. Hearing their cheerful chirps make time peaceful, oh! but then, we also have the croaked-voice crow. Their adorable body structures, their wonderful techniques of making people happy are astounding. Some even say that they are used as therapy for young children who have speech problems. What a blessing God sent us! Singing and chirping have always been the characteristics of birds. This is what defines them and distinguish them ...

TREES

Green, vivid, beautiful, and cooling freshness. That is a tree! It provides us with oxygen, it brightens up places with a colourful charm.  A tree plays different roles in different seasons. During autumn , it lets down leaves of all colours for people to admire while they flow around. In spring , it grows a new family of leaves and flowers for everyone to admire and feel vivid. In summer , the fruits are mature, fleshy and sumptuous enough for us to relish on. During winter , the trees fold inside to protect themselves from the icy cold and even the frigid snow. And this process continues smoothly.  Trees need water, sunlight and carbon dioxide, which in some way, makes them related to us. Rather than related I should say interdependent as we need oxygen whereas they need the carbon dioxide. Hence we co-live! A very realistic picture is that when a child starts drawing, he/she generally starts by drawing a blessing of nature—a flower; then gradually...

Them.

I've met this person, a pure soul. They make me happy, in a way that I dont even understand myself. They radiate brightness and they're my little yellow lady When it comes to them, I truly run out of words because even words cannot start to describe how amazing they are. When I sit down and try to pen down all the emotions I feel for them, to try and make it poetry, I discover that I cannot,  because neither my mind nor my soul will let me use something as mere as words to describe them. Words are very powerful, but they crumble in face of them. They are truly happiness They make my heart flutter in joy and make my stomach drop dead They are romantic and sweet They write poetry in my name and I can't find anything cuter Their smile is the shiniest thing in the world Their eyes are ones I could stare at forever and fall into its depths even if it meant no return Their face of calmness as they lay on my lap and i stroke their hair Their hugs are those that make...
