Separation demands
a lot of courage and patience. Separation can be from almost anything and
either be temporary or permanent.
At
first interpretation, separation would mean either a divorce or a breakup. But is
that the only meaning it brings?
These would
only be one perception of it.
One can be separated from their family due to
work, or separation from your friends as you or they have moved. No matter what is the reason for separation it still requires strength to face it, courage to live with it, and patience to
await destiny’s plan.
My mother is currently separated from my father as we
have moved to another country and he could not travel with us immediately due
to some pending work and added to that is the ill-fated Corona Virus. Though we
miss him terribly, we know that we will soon be reunited.
My brother too misses
his school and his childhood friends. Leaving all of a sudden, and for a person
of his age, it disrupts the mind and his routine. Yet, he understands our
problems and doesn’t make a big deal out of it.
As seen, both of them have
faced major separations that they are dealing with, having a smile across
their faces.
For me separation
means being away from things immensely cherished, can be the food we are used
to, friends, family environment, school and the fun, the house I grew up in,
the parrots flying around my balcony, the activities I would indulge in and the list goes on.
Death as a separation
is the ultimate excruciating feeling. It is the separation from the loved ones
who surely you will not be with anymore. Even the separation from a pet due to death is hard to take on.
Even marriages, though happy moments, are separation from parents, siblings to a new life.
Hence, separation doesn’t mean the end either.
And that should be our mental preparation to
face our separations.
Have faith
in destiny and love your dear ones. Shower them with all of your care.
Value
every moment together
