Pitter-Patter, Pitter-Patter

Pitter, patter, pitter-patter.
What’s this I hear?
Rain, is it you?
Have you come out to play?
Yes, of course it is you! Who could miss out on the palpable signs?

First, you get the smell of cool freshness floating in the air, which tells you that it’s going to rain.
Then comes a light drizzle as soft as feathers. Howbeit depends on the mood of the clouds…It can either stop or it may cause a downfall.
Of course, we cannot forfeit this earthly aroma that subtly soars and tickle our nostrils.

Quick, remove the clothes from the clotheslines! You see mothers fluttering around. Close the doors and windows before the gush soaks the interiors.

A mug of hot chocolate with marshmallows, a blanket wrapped around yourself, sitting comfortably in your armchair, and finding the perfect view to watch the rain – are the best things to do when it rains. Or even better dive in a pleasant world of words in a book.

Small faces are glued to the damp window panes, clearly wishing the elders would be fun enough to dance in the rains. The best time to make all imaginary figures on the moisture formed on the windows of the car. And how many zip around, rip pages from notebooks and make those so-much-fun paper boats.

Simple pleasures from the most adored blessing granted by the Most Magnificent.

In all likelihood, rain can show its harsh faces too: flood and destruction, we will take those as just purification moments. For its kind façade is what we remember.

Rain’s duty doesn’t end there. It waters our plants, gets absorbed by the Earth, enters the water department, gets filtered and then is sent to our homes. Its power is channelised for our electricity.

Rain has such a lovely process. First, water gets evaporated and rises to the air. Then it fills up the clouds, and when the clouds can’t hold it together anymore, they let all the water down. In colder regions, the water in the clouds freezes and turns to ice. And we surely enjoy that snow in divers ways. Then the ice melts, this entire process starts over again.
Many interviewed authors had revealed to the public that their writings were inspired mostly by rain. Why not? Its effect is such that it fantasises our senses.
